How To Prepare for Kambo

the practical steps

  • Hydration - Bring at least 3 litres of water to your session. Staying well-hydrated is an important part of the process and helps you stay comfortable throughout.

  • Fasting - Please don't eat for at least 8 hours before your session. Water is allowed and encouraged. This fasting period is an important part of preparing safely for the ceremony.

  • Medication - Avoid taking any medication on the day of your session — prescription or over-the-counter — unless your practitioner has advised otherwise. Always share what you take when we speak beforehand.

  • Comfort - items Bring a blanket and a pillow so you can create a cosy, comfortable space for yourself. Feeling relaxed helps you settle into the experience.

  • Clothing - Wear loose, comfortable clothing you can move easily in. Avoid anything tight or restrictive.

Kambo isn't suitable for everyone, and your wellbeing always comes first. That's why every ceremony begins with a careful screening and a conversation so we can make sure it's right and safe for you before anything goes ahead.

Safety & Screening

The Important Steps

  • Before any ceremony, we go through a careful screening together — this is the most important part of preparing. Kambo isn't suitable for everyone, so it's essential you share any health conditions or medications honestly when we speak. This is simply to keep you safe, and everything you share stays confidential.

  • Always work only with a trained, experienced practitioner who can guide you through the process with proper care.

There's No Rush. Only Your Pace

Kambo isn't about forcing change or fixing everything at once. It's a traditional practice approached with patience and respect — a space to slow down, reconnect, and meet yourself honestly. However you arrive, you'll be guided gently, one step at a time.
